Erasmus Alberus

Erasmus Alberus (1500-1553) was a German Lutheran reformer and hymn writer who played a significant role in developing Protestant sacred music during the Reformation. He served as superintendent of churches in Neubrandenburg, where he contributed substantially to German Protestant hymnody and church practice.
