Frank Bland Tucker (1895-1984) was an American Episcopal priest and one of the most prolific hymn writers of the twentieth century. He served as editor of the Hymnal 1940 and made substantial contributions to Episcopal hymnody, authoring over 100 hymn texts characterized by theological depth and poetic quality. Tucker's hymns, including notable works such as "God of the Prophets" and "All Praise to Thee, My God, This Night," reflected his commitment to liturgical renewal and contemporary expression of traditional Christian theology.
