Philipp Friedrich Böhm

Philipp Friedrich Böhm was a German Lutheran clergyman and hymn writer who flourished during the 17th century in the post-Reformation era. He made significant contributions to German Protestant hymnody, composing and compiling hymns that reflected Lutheran theology and piety during a period of considerable religious development. Böhm's work exemplified the continuation of the German chorale tradition established by earlier reformers, and his hymns were designed for congregational worship and spiritual edification.
