Saint Sedulius
Saint Sedulius was a 5th-century Irish Christian poet and theologian whose Latin works profoundly influenced early Christian liturgical practice and hymnody. He is best known for his acrostic poems, particularly the Acrostic Hymn on Christ (Carmen Paschale), which demonstrated sophisticated poetic technique while serving devotional purposes in the Church.
