Leviticus 2

In Leviticus chapter 2, the story continues to develop the theme of holiness, priesthood, sacrifice, and covenant worship. Lutheran interpretation often highlights how the events reveal humanity’s need for God’s grace and the reliability of God's promises. The chapter illustrates both the reality of human weakness and the faithfulness of God who works through history.

And when any will offer a meat offering unto the LORD, his offering shall be {of} fine flour; and he shall pour oil upon it, and put frankincense thereon:

And if thou bring an oblation of a meat offering baken in the oven, {it shall be} unleavened cakes of fine flour mingled with oil, or unleavened wafers anointed with oil.
