Carl Doving

Carl Doving (1909–unknown) was a Norwegian Lutheran pastor and hymnodist who made significant contributions to Scandinavian Protestant church music. He composed both hymn texts and melodies that reflected deep theological insight, with particular emphasis on themes of patient faith and the believer's personal relationship with God. Working within the Lutheran tradition, Doving's works were characterized by accessible yet theologically rich language that resonated with Norwegian congregational worship.
